To ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable Ring of Beara Cycle, we have some official times we need all cyclists to make a note of. This is not only for your own safety, but also for the safety of everyone taking part.
The official start time for the Ring of Beara Cycle on Saturday 27th May is 8am. The start line is on Henry Street in the centre of Kenmare town, and this is also where you will cross the finish line.
All medical and event safety services will be in operation from 8am until 6pm on the day of the cycle, and
will not be available outside these times. Services and entertainment at the finish line will stop at 5pm.
In addition, we have several food stops en route, and their opening times are as follows:
- Ardgroom 8.30am-11am (110km)
- Eyeries 8.30am-11.30am (140km)
- Allihies 10am-2.30pm (140km)
- Castletownbere 9.30am-3pm (110km & 140km)
- Glengarriff 11am-4.30pm (110km & 140km)
Make sure you are wearing yourwristband and have your helmet and bike stickers in place, as you will need these to access the food stops.
