Ring of Beara Cycle Welcomes E-Bikes!

Once again, the Ring of Beara Cycle will welcome participants to complete the 110km and 140km routes on an electric bike.

We recognize some of the hills around the Ring of Beara are very steep and challenging, and in order to make the event as inclusive as possible, we want to get the message out there that electric bikes are welcome.

How are you going to get around the route on one battery? Don’t worry! We are facilitating a spare battery drop at the food stop location in Castletownbere. This is 80km in along the route if you are doing the 140km route, and 50km in if you are doing the 110km route.

All you need to do is drop your spare battery off to us (fully charged of course!) at registration.

Your spare battery will then be waiting for you to pick up at Castletownbere.

As part of our commitment to making the Ring of Beara Cycle kinder on the environment, the addition of electric bikes continues to keep it as accessible as possible.

See you on 27th May!
