The Ring of Beara Cycle Kenmare 2020 again took less than 24hrs to sell out completely. Over 4200 spaces for the event were snapped up by cycle enthusiasts who have secured the date in the diary for 2020.

Local charities in Kenmare and Castletownbere benefit from bumper charity donation from Ring of Beara Cycle 2019
The Ring of Beara Cycle Committee this week presented cheques to six local charities who are benefitting from this year’s event. Volunteers who helped organise and run the event were also praised for their commitment and community spirit. Read more
The state of hydration during physical activity is vital as water is lost at a greater rate than fluids can be taken in. Because of the unreliability of the thirst mechanism and the importance of replacing lost fluids during exercise, many athletes consume liquids according to a schedule during training in an effort to remain hydrated.
Mark Pollock and a team of supporters and fundraisers have been hitting the roads in and around Dublin City in preparation for the Ring of Beara Cycle Kenmare 2019. Mark will undertake the 110km cycle with tandem pilot Simon O’Donnell, a team mate in his trek to the South Pole, and a team of 35 other cyclists to help raise awareness of his mission to cure for paralysis in our lifetime.
